Ouch, I knew it had been a long time since the last update, but this long???
Well I won't make excuses, but I lost my job and my website along with it, hence the new URL (which you must know to be looking at this page of course) and the lack of updates. Although I have more free time I don't really have the money to be buying L5R at the moment, so I am a bit out of the game. Apparently I don't get previews any more either (I missed an expansion) so there is even less reason to update! Ahh well ....
Anyway, if there is anything new it'll turn up here.

The long wait for Diamond is over, and already the Reign of Blood previews have started! Only last night I was just sorting out my Diamond cards, now I am posting Reign of Blood previews, it never ends.

Since Mark Jeflo seems to be keen on continuing previews even when we are out of set countdown time I have set up a new dedicated previews section of the website. I apologise if it doesn't appear in the menu-bars of all the pages on the site, that will have to wait for more to be uploaded.

Naseru is Emperor!
Please forgive that small outburst .... but Naseru is Emperor! The results of Gencon 2003 are in and everything has changed in the Empire. Beleive it or not, even a loyal Naseru supporter like myself mourns the death of Tsudao, but that can't mask my glee at Naseru's victory.
I have removed the Naseru for Emperor website from the net, it hardly seems necessary now, and am trying to track down all the references to it on mywebsite, if you notice any I have failed to remove please let me know.
I have also updated the links page to remove a lot of the dead Scorpion sites, and to move some of the formerly active sites to inactive. Sadly it looks like there are quite a few less active Scorpion sites than there used to be, though there are some outstanding new ones, like Tears of Stone.

I have finally gotten around to adding the Fight for Tomorrow stories to the History section. There are still many more stories I haven't linked yet that I hope to get to soon.

The last lot of Winds of Change previews have arrived from Mark Jeflo. Sound Strategy and Peasant Vengeance, like most of the other cards we have seen in these previews, look set to become instant staples.
You may also notice that the number of images appearing at the top of the website pages has increased today by three. In the future I plan to keep on adding images from time to time which will appear at random at the top of pages.
I also began revising the history section today, but it has a lot of work to go.

It never ends! Yet more previews have arrived from Mark Jeflo, this time some 'staple cards' which many feel may soon be replacing the venerable Rallying Cry and Counterattack.

Mark Jeflo today sent out a press release about the Diamond Edition Seminar that has been arranged for GenCon 2003. It promises some very exciting changes and sweeping modifications to the shape of L5R that I am looking forward to!
Also, please do not be alarmed if some of the images seem a little wrong, I am experimenting with some images that change themselves but I don't have all the graphics yet. Please let me know if the image below works, or if it is a broken image.

As alert readers may have noticed the Scorpion's Sting is undergoing its first major redesign in many years. New Navigation combined with new layout may well cause a few hiccups and confusions for a while, but its all progress. If you have any comments on the new layout or any other changes please let me know.

Oddly enough, last year little seemed to be updated about this site between February and July as well ... perhaps this is more than coincidence? Those of you who know me will know that serious personal problems got between me and L5R for much of this year. Sadly these are not yet over, and I cannot promise that there will not be further interruptions in service.
That said, this week brings the first previews for Winds of Change, due out in August!
