Beneath The Village

As the buzzing fills the air a shaft of light descends through the hole from the blue dome above you. The air shimmers and then the forms of three Gods appear before you, their presance bringing you to their knees.

You seek the solution to the puzzle of the door with four locks, mortal, the secret to your greatest dreams.

One of the Gods gestures and a table of blue marble appears beside you. Upon it are four objects. On the left is a golden chalice, filled with the purist of waters. Next to this is a steel vial with a glass stopper, its sides etched with writing. Third is a magnificent sword, the watered steel blade wavay, and decorated with a striking snake. Last is a golden rod of Kingship, topped with a glittering Ruby.

Pick one of these four objects. Pick correctly and you will be taken to the place of your greatest desires, pick wrongly and you must try again this test from its very start.

The Chalice represents Life, so you will live, but you are not correct, you did not learn all there was to know on this quest, thus you must return to the Village above.

The God waves its hand and you are transported elsewhere.

You are correct. The Vial represents all the possibilities of Life death and Power. Thus you will be granted the sight of the thing that you most desire in all the Universe. Close your eyes.

You obey, and are transported elsewhere.

You are wrong, the sword and the Serpent represent Death, but we are merciful. Although you have not completed this quest, and did not find out all there was to know in the labyrinth, we will spare you to try again.

The God gestures and a force transports you elsewhere.

The Rod represents power, but it is not power that it gives you, you have chosen wrongly. In this labyrinth there is one with power who could have told you more, but clearly he told you nothing. However we give you leave to try again, begone.

The God on the left claps its hands and you are abruptly transported elsewhere.
