Their nets are as effective in battle as on the hunt

Beloved as the bow is to the Ravenwood Elves there has also been a long tradition of sword making, passed down from their High Elf ancestors. Though the arts of making Elder Blades is long lost, swords are still regarded as sacred things, with dead swords (those cursed, broken, or damaged) being cast into sacred pools as offerings to the Spirits.

It has also long been the tradition that some hunters will carry a sword for the killing blow, especially when it is dealt to larger prey such as Stags, Hinds or Elks. On the hunt the Spearmen will harry and drive the prey into the waiting Swordsmen, who pounce with net and blade for the killing blow.

These hunters also bring their skills to the battlefield when the Tribe is heavily pressed, using the same tactics of net and sword on their foes.
