Bowmasters

Centuries of practice really does make perfect

Those Elves who train with the Bow all their lives, devoting themselves to it, are known as Bowmasters, and are highly respected by Elves of all Kiths and Kins. A Bowmaster dedicates himself to his bow and his arrows, eschewing other weapons (they carry swords in battle more as tools than weapons) and the everyday activities of their Kin and Family. To call such Elves obsessive is to apply an unfair human term, they feel themselves to become part bow as other Ravenwood Elves become part animal or place. They are of the Kin of the Bow.

In a departure from the normally insular life of most Elves, Bowmasters often wander far afield from their families, seeking perfect wood for their arrows, and the chance to test their skills in the depths of the forest, and against other Bowmasters. Though few in number they are not an unusual sight on the Battlefield, being eager to prove their skills in battle.
