GEAS NEWSLETTER
Sunday in Teviot refectory, 2 til 10 Wednesday in The Braid Room, The Pleasance, 2 'il 7 and in Teviot Balcony room, 5 til 10
As many of you will know, we launched the first killer game of the year on Sunday 9th Oct. This is a Circle of Death game, although most casualties so far have not been killed by their hunters. We are hoping to run at least one Killer game a term, and if there is enough interest, possibly more. As it stands, the next killer game will probably start one week after the current one ends.
Some of you may have already bought copies of our periodical fanzine,"The Sign". If not, please do. The Chronicler, David Donachie, worked very hard to get this edition out in time for Fresher's Week. "The Sign" usually features , roleplaying articles, short stories and artwork by various members of the society, and is published as and when enough material for an edition is submitted. So if you are of a literary or artistic bent, please , please give us something to publish, and experience the joy of seeing your name, and work, in print .
We are holding our Annual General Meeting on Sunday the 20th of November at 6pm. This is where we elect members of the Grand Council for the coming year, and deal with constitutional matters such as amendments to articles, and Election of Life-members, and non-constitutional matters such as purchasing of new books, proposal of events etc. If you have any motions that you wish to place on the agenda for the meeting then please contact the Secretary, John Wilson, on 447 3534. Proposals for ammendments to the current constitution must be submitted at least 1 week before the A.G.M. (A copy of the constitution is available in the GEAS library).
If you wish to stand for one of the Council posts, or to nominate someone, then you should give the name of the proposee, the proposer, and a seconder to a member of the council, before the date of the A.G.M. The posts available are as follows:
