Amber unfortunately is its own genre, and usually very badly described. Typical descriptions are:

"Err, Its Amber, like your gods, sort of and can change reality, like and make things you want, and you sort of do things, yeah do things, that's right, its Amber."

"Its Amber!"

"Its sort of political and you can still go and fight people and stuff and you can be beaten, but your omnipotent sort of, there's still stuff you can't do."

"They're all omni-potent, its just that some are more omni-potent than others."

Which are all fairly useless, so here is a definitive definition of amber.

What can be definitely stated is that you either love amber or loathe it, there is little in between space.
