The Guard looks up as you approach him.
Guard: "Have you got your pass?"
The Guard examines the piece of parchment that you give him.
Guard: "Well I wish you luck. This place is full of people who talk about the Door With Four Locks, but there are few enough actually brave enough to open that door. A lot of people arrive with retainers left and right, well-wishers, servants, but I don't know of anyone like that who didn't come out bedaggled and beaten, or dead. Its best to go in there quiet and alone, just as you are."
He finishes with the pass and opens hands you back the parchment. "Well, you are free to go, and good luck. Remember you can always come back, no one will call you a coward for not trying the door first time, better here than dead, and there are always places and people in the Village who can tell you something useful." The Guard steps aside and returns to his post.
Guard: "You have to have a pass from the Town Hall to go down there, we can't just let anyone wander down there to their deaths can we?"
Guard: "If you don't know that then you shouldn't be going there! Thats the labyrinth, the catacombs, the tunnels and the passageways. Thats where the Door with Four Locks lies, that they say leads to paradise, if the Gods will let you through it. But beware, only one lock is safe, the other three lead to death, and even if you get the correct one then the Gods will set you a test and you have to pass that too.
I can see that you are an adventurer, and I've no doubt that you are brave too, but don't go in there unprepared. There are people in this Village who can give you advice, talk to people, go to the Library in the Town Hall and the Wizard's house. In any case you must have a pass from the Town hall, and I can't let you go in without one."
You head to the Town Hall and obtain a pass.
