The End of the Matter
Today, March 16, 2003, when I went to get my mail, I found this letter in my mailbox. The important text is:
Thank you for the information you recently supplied. Please consider this as written notification that the matter is closed for the tax year(s) listed above [1999].
That’s what I was looking for! So I don’t get raked over the coals after all. The feeling of relief was immense. With this letter I feel that the very last chapter of my Lectra diary has now been written.
