Beliard

A Small pleasant town, surrounded by trees. Sits at the intersection of the Dessarin Road, Jundar's Pass, and the road toward Ironford. Suffered at the hands of a Hobgoblin attack around 17 years ago, in which much of the town was sacked. There are still the overgrown and silent remains of little cottages here and there, half robbed out by locals.

Malark and his family (Father Idris, Mother Ellyra, Sister Maria) lived in one of the small outlying farms destroyed by the Hobs. It takes around 15 minutes to reach (and another 5-10 to locate the ruins). Three simple and overgrown grave markers show where his family was buried. Malark has not been back here since the day he left to head for the coast, wanting to get as far from Beliard as he could.

Two Inns

The Watchful Knight once had a Shield Guardian standing in the main room, but it vanished years ago. There is a plinth where it once stood. Large building, 16 rooms, 2gp a night for a private room, otherwise 5sp to share.

The Calling Horns is a smaller Inn on the other side of the main road, 8 rooms, 2gp a night. This was once the home of the Oracle Aborana Startoucher, who collected a number of esoteric books that are still available to readers to peruse (but not including the famous scaly red leather tome that the Yartar thieves desired). These books contain some references to the "Prison of the Four" said to be located beneath the Sumber Hills, and also the Sage of Rundreth.

Milshoun's Stronghouses

Three stone warehouses on the main road. Owned by Ahbhaer Mhilshoun who provides storage facilities per day, tenday, or month. Milshoun's Stronghouses are protected by a dozen guards, who hunted game in the hills to the north during their spare time.

Halamar's Horses

A stable run by Blasko Halamar with a dozen local boys, including Hagarl. Known for buying horses and reselling, but he would always try to keep a ten gold piece profit margin for himself between payments and prices.
